This documentation describes how to manage domains within a hosting package in the customer portal.

Here, a domain is added to a hosting package as a web-space domain: it defines under which name a website from the hosting package is served, which directory the files are located in, and whether the connection is encrypted via SSL (Let's Encrypt).

This page covers domains within a hosting package (web-space assignment). Domain registration (nameservers, contacts, DNSSEC, transfer) and managing a domain's DNS records happen elsewhere in the customer portal – see the DNS section.

Scope

You can access the domains of a hosting package via:

Hosting -> [your hosting package] -> Domains

The overview lists all assigned domains with their domain, description and Let's Encrypt status.

Usage notes

Before changing an existing domain, always check whether it is still actively used. Changing the document root or SSL settings can temporarily make a website unreachable.
