Managing contacts
Every registered domain has four contact roles recorded with the registry: owner, admin, technical, and billing. This page describes creating contacts and assigning them to a domain.
Creating a contact
- Open the Contacts section from the user menu in the customer portal.
- Click Create contact.
- Enter the following:
- First name
- Last name
- Phone
- Address
- City
- Postal code
- Country – two-letter country code (e.g.
US)
- Save the contact.
The contact receives a unique handle from the registry and is then available for selection when registering new domains and assigning contacts to existing ones.
Assigning a contact to a domain
- Open the desired domain under Domain.
- Go to the Contacts section.
- Select an already-created contact for Admin contact, Technical contact and Billing contact.
- Click Update.
Note
The owner contact is shown for reference only on this page and can't be changed here. Contact our support team to change a domain's owner.
Deleting a contact
- Open the Contacts section from the user menu.
- Find the contact to delete.
- Click Delete and confirm the prompt.
Note
A contact still assigned to an active domain shouldn't be deleted. Check beforehand which domains the contact is assigned to.
Follow-up checks
After creating or assigning, check:
- that the contact appears in the overview with a correct handle
- that the right contacts are assigned to the correct roles (admin, technical, billing)
