Overview
This documentation describes how to manage vServers in the customer portal.
A vServer is a standalone virtual server with a fixed network configuration, reachable either via an SSH key or console access.
Contents
- Ordering a server
- Managing the network – IP addresses, floating IPs, port forwarding
- Backups and snapshots
- Rescue mode – resetting the root password, allowing SSH root login
- Scaling and reinstalling
- Managing SSH keys
- Deleting a server
Scope
You can access your vServers in the customer portal via the Server menu item in the Products section.
A server record is organized into several sub-sections:
- Overview – name, team, location, node and current status
- Network – IP addresses, traffic, floating IPs, port forwarding
- Backups
- Snapshots
- Rescue mode
- Scale
- Reinstall
- Edit – rename and transfer to another team
Server overview
The overview page of a server shows:
- Name, team and location (with a country flag)
- Node and status (running, stopped or paused)
- Network data: traffic limit, whether port forwarding is allowed, primary IPv4/IPv6 address with gateway
Controlling a server
At the top of every server page, the following actions are available depending on the current status:
- Start – only shown when the server is stopped
- Actions (only shown when the server is running): Shutdown (graceful), Stop, Force stop, Reboot
- Console – opens a VNC console in a new tab; only available while the server is running
Usage notes
Before making impactful changes to a server – especially reinstalling, scaling, or enabling rescue mode – always check whether a current backup or snapshot exists. These operations can lead to data loss or temporary unavailability of the server.
